@Kareen h are either "aspiré" or "muet" but this is just a name. All h are pronounced the same way, that is they are not pronounced at all.

@Fatalize Yes, I know that fully well. As I said, wrong word used, blame it on a late night comment. I merely meant to say elision depends on whether the H is aspiré or muet and I used a concept a person speaking English would understand, although inaccurate.

Found a sentence I could not figure out the pronunciation for
in terms of liaisons
"Les mots ont un sens."
it's the mots ont un that got me.
I think....I should pronounce the s on mots but not the t on ont, right?

Also, is the second syllable of parvint (passé simple of parvenir) pronouced the same as vin ?

@Aerovistae no, it's the opposite: les mots ont [t]un sens
I think there's rarely (never?) a liaison between the subject and the verb unless the subject is a pronoun
